NMT-2026 is an important stage of growing up and choosing a future for thousands of Ukrainian school graduates. In times of change and challenges, the National Multisubject Test remains the key to admission to higher education institutions. That is why it is important to understand the rules, structure, and specifics of NMT-2026 in advance. This article brings together the most important information for students and parents.

What is the NMT and how it is conducted

The National Multisubject Test (NMT) is a mandatory entrance examination for obtaining a bachelor’s degree at Ukrainian higher education institutions. The NMT format has proven to be an effective solution for organizing the admission campaign during wartime, ensuring transparency and fairness in assessment.

The NMT combines:

  • digital technologies;
  • testing at specially equipped centers;
  • automated evaluation of results.

The test format provides for:

  • completing tasks from several subjects within one test;
  • limited time for each block;
  • independent time management within each block.

Testing takes place in one day and consists of two blocks:

  • Block 1 — Ukrainian language and mathematics (120 minutes);
  • a 20-minute break (participants remain at the testing center);
  • Block 2 — History of Ukraine and one elective subject (120 minutes).

Which subjects are included in NMT-2026

  • mathematics;
  • History of Ukraine.

Elective subjects:

  • foreign language (English, German, French, Spanish);
  • physics;
  • chemistry;

Online preparation and support

Today, online preparation for the NMT provides access to tests, simulators, and educational platforms. Online courses help structure the learning process.

At MriyDiy School, there is an NMT preparation center. At the center, students can prepare for different types of tasks in selected subjects and assess their level of knowledge.

Students of MriyDiy schools prepare for the NMT as part of their regular schedule. Every Friday, eleventh-grade students have special TestTime lessons designed to prepare them for test-based tasks. At the end of each semester, students undergo monitoring that closely mirrors NMT procedures. In addition, students participate in psychological training sessions that help stabilize emotions and teach them to focus on key tasks. This preparation algorithm is highly effective and results-oriented.

What will change in NMT-2026

In 2026, the NMT format remains generally stable and does not undergo radical changes. The structure of tasks and assessment principles are preserved, so graduates can rely on previous years’ preparation experience. As in the previous year, applicants will not take the State Final Attestation. This means that the NMT is not mandatory for Ukrainian graduates as a nationwide assessment tool. As a result, the state will not be able to track the overall level of academic achievement of eleventh-grade students.

The exact dates of NMT-2026 have not yet been announced. It is necessary to follow official updates from the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment (UCEQA) to stay informed about the latest news.
